The Town of Buckeye Satellite Office Is Closed
January 10, 2013
The Town of Buckeye Festival Satellite Office''s last day of service to the public was Wednesday, January 9th. Development Services staff were on hand to conclude their two month pilot program of issuing building permits.
The office opened in early June, 2012. Based on an August, 2012 status report from volunteers serving in the office, hours of operation were reduced from four to two hours weekly due to little public foot traffic. In December, the Town re-evaluated the purpose for the office and determined that, due to continued low numbers of visitors, the office would close to the public.
Town services are available at the Buckeye Town Hall, 530 E. Monroe Avenue, Buckeye, AZ 85326 phone 623-349-6000
Sun Valley Parkway Traffic and Signage
March 30, 2012
Town of Buckeye Council Member Ray Strauss informed us that, in response to growing concerns by residents over traffic on Sun Valley Parkway, Town of Buckeye Mayor Jackie Meck has contacted Maricopa County Supervisor Max Wilson to request assistance. The two primary areas of concern are the intersection of Sun Valley Parkway and Canyon Springs Boulevard, as well as drivers inadvertently driving on the wrong side of the road on the Parkway. Signs indicating "wrong way" and "do not enter" are needed at periodic locations along the Parkway to address this particular concern.
The County Supervisor informed Mayor Meck that he would have his staff immediately address the situation. As the Community Association becomes aware of developments on this matter, we will share our information with residents.
