A Visitation Team is available for home visits for those recovering from an illness, home-bound residents and those just needing a friend. The volunteers will read to a resident, play cards, visit and share quiet reflective time.
The Caring Neighbors Office sells greeting cards that are handmade by the Paper Crafts & More Club. A homemade Sympathy or Get Well card is sent to any resident who is need of encouragement.
Homeless Vets and downtown homeless have collections boxes in the Caring Neighbors Office. Items collected include new or used sheets, blankets, pillows, towels, hotel sample toiletries, personal care items, new sweatpants, jeans and socks.
Deployed Soldiers receive a monthly box from home by the Blue Star Moms from items collected by Caring Neighbors. Support our troops with items such as beef jerky, crackers, batteries, eye drops, canned tuna, turkey or chicken, raman noodles, magazines and paperback books, etc.
A New Bereavement group is starting Wednesdays from 1-2pm. The group will meet at the Sage Center, and is open to all residents.
Caring Neighbors is in the process of starting an Alzheimer's Support Group for Festival residents. Whether you are a caregiver or a loved one of someone with Alzheimer's, this support group can help you cope with this debilitating disease. You can find comfort with others in a similar situation and learn the ins and outs while navigating through all of the obstacles you are facing.
