Good afternoon Sun City Festival Residents,
I would like to let you know about a few updates and reminders for our community that I feel are important for you to be aware of. If you have any questions or concerns please let me know by replying to this email or calling 928-252-2103.
UpcomingPainting Projects: In the next few weeks you will be seeing our facilities team and one of our vendors doing several painting projects throughout the community. These projects include painting 38 mailboxes, the softball complex building exterior, crafts studio building exterior and the painting of the parking lot poles, shade structure beams, walkway poles, and volleyball poles. Tomorrow the east parking lot at the Sage Center will be closed for painting the light poles and on Wednesday the 19th the west parking lot at the Sage Center will also be closed for this painting project. On Friday the 21st, the team will be installing new canvas at the Sage Tennis and Pickleball canopies. We apologize for any inconvenience.
NeighborhoodRep Meeting: Our next Neighborhood Rep meeting is scheduled for July 9th at 1:00 pm. You should have received an email recently from your neighborhood representative asking for any concerns. If you did not receive this email please reach out to your representative with any concerns. If you don’t know who your representative is, please click here for a complete list.
New Home Orientation: Next Thursday, June 27th at 8:30 am will be our next new Homeowner Orientation. You should have received a postcard but if you did not and would still like to attend please let me know. This is a great way to meet your Sun City Festival team, learn all about all our community and have your questions answered. Please RSVP to Sally Meyer or by replying to this email.
New Blinds in Celebration Hall: I am excited to let you know that this Friday we will be having new blinds installed in Celebration Hall. The original curtains will be removed for a new updated look that was approved by the Board of Directors recently.
City Of Buckeye Council Meeting: The next City Council Meeting will be held tomorrow June 17th at 6 pm at City Hall, which is located at 530 E Monroe Ave. If you are interested in the recent water rate proposal increase and want to express your concerns, you may want to attend this meeting.
Landscape Update: Starting this week, our landscape vendor Carescape will be removing the stalks on the yuccas and desert spoons. They also will be trimming back the lantanas throughout the community. The arbor crew will be trimming trees along Canyon Springs, Beardsley Blvd, Desert Oasis, Desert Vista and Mountain Ridge in the next few weeks. The Bermuda grass has been fertilized twice this month and the Ryegrass continues to die off. Carescape has been working very hard to fix any leaks that arise in a timely manner. I do appreciate all of the residents who have taken the time to report any leaks they see in the community. If you see a leak, please contact Sally, Melissa or myself with the exact location so we can report this leak to Carescape. If you are not able to reach one of us, please contact member services at the Sage Center.
Cabana Cartat the Pool: For those who would like to have a refreshing soda, beer or cocktail at the Sage Pool, the Indigo Grille will be having their cabana cart available on Thursdays thru Sundays from 12-3pm. This service is being offered based on resident request and the team will be evaluating days and times for the future. In addition to drinks, limited food will also be offered. Please remember all food and drinks must be 12 ft. away from the pool edge, so please utilize our new pool furniture for your drinks and food items.
Loading and Unloading Zone at Sage Center: Please note that the front of the Sage Center is a loading and unloading zone only. We ask that you do not leave your car or golf cart unattended at anytime. This area does need to clear in case emergency vehicles are called to the Sage Center. Staff will be monitoring this area to make sure vehicles are not left unattended. Your assistance is appreciated in helping us keep this area clear for emergency vehicles.
Ice Cream Social: Our Lifestyle Team will be serving up ice cream next Tuesday, the 25th from 1-3pm. Tickets are $6 and there are several great options including my favorite Strawberry Cheesecake. Tickets are available at the Sage Center Member Services desk.
Red, White and Pool Party: Our annual Independence Day Celebration Event will be held on July 2nd at the Sage Center Pool. This event will include a DJ, optional food from Diana Johnson’s Catering and a Fireworks Display at approximately 8:45 pm. Tickets are $7 for entry or$14 for entry and food. This is an event you won’t want to miss. Tickets must be purchased by June 27th.
I hope every one has a wonderful week!
